Hi ā€“ Iā€™m Kashif Riaz. I help solopreneurs own their work and life.

[ My founding story ]

Over the last two decades, I build two businesses. Started staffing business in 2007. Started real estate business in 2010.

Iā€™m an entrepreneur involved in a variety of projects. Like any business, it has its ups and downs, which can be stressful, but I learn something new every day.

I started this site because I believe in the hustle, but not the burn-yourself-out-working-24/7 variety.

Life tends to ā€œhappen to usā€ at an increasingly rapid pace. To me, hustle ā€” or focused effort ā€” is one way to be proactive and steer your life the way you want it to go.

After all, whatā€™s riskier: starting a business, or relying on your job as your only source of income?

After graduation, I did what youā€™re ā€œsupposedā€ to do: I got a full-time for a giant corporation.

But I built my biz nights and weekends. You can do it too.

Everyone has their own reasons to side hustle:

ā€¢ Make extra money

ā€¢ Pay off debt

ā€¢ Learn new skills

ā€¢ Use free time more productively

ā€¢ Escape the rat race

I believe in you. Whatever your reason, Iā€™m here to help.

This site has literally hundreds of side hustle ideas. It showcases my successes and failures, as well as the actionable lessons from hundreds of fellow side hustle entrepreneurs.

Background & FIRE life

I am a dedicated family man married for 24 years. My wife is an incredibly passionate teacher and well-loved by her students. We have two children going to college and learning side hustle and financial independence mindset.

I am a long-time resident of Plano, TX and a serial entrepreneur with a tech background. Besides my job I had lot of success on holding long term rental properties, flipping properties and land.

Our mission

Simple Wealth Tips mission is to offer inspiration, encouragement, and tangible resources on your path to financial freedom and/or F.I.R.E.

Whoā€™s Simple Wealth Tips?

Simple Wealth Tips was founded as a space for me, to document everything I was learning about personal finance on my journey to financial independence.

Stay blessed.

We believeā€¦

šŸŒ Personal finance doesnā€™t exist in a vacuum

It isnā€™t possible (or interesting!) to talk about our financial lives without acknowledging the broader context we exist within.

From record-low housing affordability to the state of remote work, we like to explore the ways the world you live in impacts your money ā€” and how your money can impact that world.

šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼ Knowledge is power

When we know better, we tend to do better. Managing money is a skill that everyone has to learn and hone ā€” nobody comes out of the womb with the 401(k) contribution limits memorized.

We believe everyone is capable of making better financial choices to improve their lives and build wealth.

ā¤ļø A healthy relationship with money requires familiarity

Most of our beliefs about money are inherited from our parents, communities, and past experiences.

Growing a new kind of relationship with money requires intimacy with your financial choices and goals ā€” which is why we believe interacting frequently with your financial data is important.

šŸ”®Ā Things change ā€” and best practices do, too

The modern world and economy function differently now than they did 50 years ago.

We like to constantly question whether or not the ā€œold rulesā€ still apply ā€” is homeownership still the best way to build wealth? Does loyalty to a company guarantee stability, or lower pay? Whatā€™s the true ROI on a college degree? Asking questions makes learning about money more fun ā€” and meaningful.

šŸ“ˆĀ The formula for building wealth is simple

Earn more, spend less, invest the difference. The formula is simple, and there are countless ways to implement it for yourself.

Roughly half of our content at any given time is unpacking different ways to approach this winning equation.
